How to set up MacTCP

MacTCP should be located in your Control Panels folder (located in the Hard Drive).

We will start by opening it..

Click on PPP or Free PPP then click More.

There can be several icons in MacTCP. Local Talk, Ethernet, and FreePPP are the most common.

If there is a "SLIP" icon in MacTCP, it will need to be removed.

To remove it, simply open your Extensions folder,  and remove the "SLIP" icon.

You will not need to worry about the IP address, because TeleNet uses dynamic IP addresses.

If everything seems OK here, click one time on PPP (or FreePPP) to highlite it and click "more".

Click on server then match the Domain Name Server Information.

When the configuration screen comes up, simply match the picture.

You will not need to worry about the Gateway or the settings in the upper right hand corner.

Note the "periods" in the Domain settings. These act like a wildcard search.

Click OK and you are finished with MacTCP.
