Instructions for WS_FTP for Personal Page installation.
1). You will need to set the Host Address to 204.97.152.225 2). You will set the host type to AUTOMATIC DETECT 3). Enter your userid 4). Enter your password. 5). Save the settings. To start the process you will have to get connected to the Internet as usual. Minimize your browser (Internet Explorer), and then open up your FTP software. At this point click on connect, and you should notice a change in screens. At this point you will see a split screen display with the section on the left being your local drive, and the one on the right being the remote host computer. Select the files from the local machine and then chose the directory /www on the remote computer. Click on the -->; and your files will be transferred from your machine to ours. Once your start page is located on our server, rename it to index.htm, this is required for your page to be seen by the rest of the world. Your web address will be www.telenet.net/~userid |
